Homicide Investigation UPDATE: Victim Identification

Release Date/Time: 9/2/2021 8:37 AM Family notifications have been made and Salinas PD has identified the two victims as Michael David Ramos (33) Salinas resident and Amanda Nicole Ferrell (30) city of Gonzales resident. Original Press Release: Yesterday at 12:35 pm Salinas Police Officers responded to a report of a victim of a shooting near the intersection of E. Bernal Dr. and Maryal Dr. On arrival they located an adult male victim 33 years of age and an adult female victim 30 years of age suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers and Salinas Fire Personnel attempted life saving measures on the male victim however he succumbed to his injuries. The female victim was transported to a local hospital however she also died as a result of her injuries. The identities of both victims are being withheld at this time pending notification of family members. Witnesses described an unknown type vehicle driving eastbound on E.
