Officers responded to a call of an armed robbery which had just occurred at the 7-Eleven located in the 600 block of Sanborn Rd. at approximately 8:20 PM. The store employee told officers a Hispanic male had just walked into the store and pointed a gun at him and demanded money. The clerk opened the register and the suspect reached into the till and took an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled out of the store in an unknown direction.

The suspect was described as heavy set, 5'9" and wearing an orange bandana, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants. He also had a black backpack.

The investigation continues. There is no further information at this time.
