Incident: Armed Robbery of a Business

Due to all Salinas Police Officers working other emergency calls, the Monterey County Sheriff's Office, assisted our agency in taking this robbery case.  An unknown race male wearing all black clothing with something black covering his face, entered the business and demanded money from the cashier. The suspect was armed with a large knife. The cashier complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then fled on foot and was last seen running through the parking lot of the shopping center. He was further described as being tall with a large build.  The sheriff's office will forward the report and surveillance video to our department for follow-up.
