Incident: Assault With a Deadly Weapon, Making Criminal Threats

Officers responded to the intersection of Kentucky Street and Towt Street on a report of an assault with a vehicle. Officers contacted the victim who told officers that her ex-boyfriend, Omar Gonzalez Gutierrez (Age 30), was following her and her current boyfriend around town. When the victim was unsuccessful in losing Gutierrez, she decided to pull over. Gutierrez then pulled up alongside the victim and her current boyfriend and made threats that he was going to kill them. After making the threats, Gutierrez revved his engine and drove toward the victim's vehicle and struck it. Gutierrez drove off prior to police arrival.

A records check of Gutierrez shows that he has a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest and that he is unlicensed. Gutierrez is currently wanted for two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, making criminal threats, and the misdemeanor warrant.
