Release Date/Time: 11/29/2009 9:24 PM Salinas Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 1000 Block of Del Monte Ave. During the investigation officers found that an HMA, 20, 5-8, 200 wearing a gray beanie and grey hooded sweatshirt shot several times at an occupied parked car with two people in it. The suspect ran towards Kilbreath Ave. and is still outstanding. The owner of the car remained until police arrived and reported not to be injured. His passenger fled the scene prior to police arrival. This case is being investigated as gang related. Anyone with information is asked to call the Salinas Police Department.
