Salinas Police Officers responded to shots fired in the 100 Block of Carr Ave, near Terrace St. Upon arrival officers only found glass debris in the roadway along with several shell casings and car skid marks. Shortly thereafter the victim of a shooting showed up at SVMH with a non-life threatening gunshot wound below the knee. A 20 year-old male victim was passing by in the area when someone fired several shots and one hit him at the knee.  There is no one in custody, but a Hispanic 20-30 years old was seen walking away from the scene with a handgun.  This case is being considered as gang-related.  Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call the Salinas Police or any of their crime tip lines.
