Release Date/Time: 6/2/2008 10:46 AM Officers responded to a report of a victim of a shooting at the Fairway Market on Williams Road. Upon arrival they found a 23-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the left leg and hand. Investigation revealed that the victim was standing in front of the store with five other subjects before the shooting. All six subjects went into the store and a short time later the victim stepped outside. When he did an unknown suspect fired two rounds from a 12-guage shotgun from an apartment complex directly across the street. The birdshot struck near the front entrance of the store striking the victim. The suspect then fled to the rear of the apartment complex. The victim was transported to NMC with minor wounds to his left leg and hand. Release Authorized by: Commander Robert Eggers |
