Release Date/Time: 1/8/2010 9:37 PM Officers responded to a victim of a shooting at the above location. Upon arrival they found Jeffrey McPhearson, 19, of Salinas suffering from a single gunshot wound to his left foot. The victim was found around the corner on Bolivar Street where he ran to after the shooting. The victim said he was walking south on Van Buren near Cleveland when 3 unknown males in a dark colored mid-size SUV pulled up to him. One of the three occupants in the vehicle fired at least 3 shots at the victim with one round striking him in the foot. The victim could not provide any further information on the suspects or vehicle and was transported to NMC for treatment of his wound. This incident is being investigated as a gang related crime.
