Release Date/Time: 2/14/2010 5:18 PM Officers responded to a report of a robbery with the suspect fleeing the area on foot. Investigation revealed that the suspect approached the counter armed with a knife and demanded money. The clerk could not open the cash register at which time the suspect fled without any money. Based on the description, Officers knew the suspect because they had just contacted him about an hour prior at a disturbance call. Officers responded to an apartment on the under 100 block of McGowin Circle to contact the suspect, Mario Becerra, 19 yrs. The suspect tried to flee out the back door and was taken into custody. He was lodged at the County Jail.
