Incident: Attempted Robbery / Assault with a Deadly Weapon

The victim drove into a gas station on the 300 block of E. Alisal to get some gas. Two suspects approached the victim while he was seated in his vehicle and demanded money. The victim tried to flee in the vehicle and was cut by an unknown object on the arm by one or both of the subjects. The victim was able to escape and reported the crime to a California Highway Patrolman, who was patrolling in the area. A Salinas Police Officer located the two subjects walking to the rear of a business less than a block away. The two subjects were identified as Douglas Olmos, 33 yrs., and Martin Galicia, 28 yrs. The victim refused medical attention. Both Galicia and Olmos were booked for the listed charges.
