On Sunday, August 15th a business burglary occurred at Tommy's Glass Shop. A company van along with miscellaneous tools were stolen. The owner suspected that an ex-employee, Darrell Haley (Age 31) was the one responsible. On August 16th, the Monterey County Sheriff's Office located the stolen van in Prunedale. Salinas Police Officers went to Haley's residence and conducted a consent search. During the search, a sawed off 12-gauge shotgun and a tool box stolen from the burglary were recovered. Haley is wanted for charges of burglary,  and possession of the sawed off shotgun.

Officers also received information that a parolee, Charles Goss (Age 37) was also involved in the burglary. Officers responded to Goss' residence and conducted a parole search. They located numerous items taken during the burglary. Goss was not home but was contacted by telephone and said he would come to his house to talk to officers. Goss never arrived and is also wanted for the burglary and parole violation.
