On 12/1/09, at approximately 10:50 am, the Salinas Police Department responded to the 500 blk of Stockton St. on the report of a burglary and sexual assault. A press release regarding the incident was disseminated at that time. The Salinas Police Department would like to update the description of the suspect in this case.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult, late 20’s to mid 30’s, medium to dark complexion with a few days growth of facial hair. He is approximately 5’5” to 5’7” tall, with a medium build. The suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled tight around his face, showing only his eyes, nose and mouth, black “Dickie” pants with a brown belt, brown work boots and black gloves with the Nike logo on the top of each hand. The suspect was last seen running northbound on Powell St. toward the greenbelt. A witness in the area also reported seeing a grey sedan or small SUV, leaving the area at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was last seen traveling westbound on W. Rossi St. from Powell St.
