The Salinas Police Department, will be conducting a DUI/License checkpoint during the evening hours of 1800-2400 hrs on Friday August 20, 2010, at an undisclosed location in the city of Salinas. This checkpoint is purposely conducted in an attempt to reduce the amount of drinking and driving and citing unlicensed drivers. This operation is funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
