On the above date at about 7:30 pm, an anonymous citizen reported seeing suspicious activity for the past week in the field area off Hitchcock Rd. near the City of Salinas Animal Shelter. The citizen checked the area and located suspicious items that appeared to be small pipe bombs. Salinas Police responded and contacted the Monterey County Sheriff's Bomb Squad to examine the devices. The devices were transported to a safe rural area where they were determined not to be explosive and destroyed.
