Luis Estrada, 31, got into an argument with the victim and pushed her into their bedroom. The argument continued in the room and became physical when the victim told Estrada she wanted to get a divorce. Estrada put a pair of scissors to the victim's neck and threatened to kill her and him both. Officers arrived and saw Estrada on top of the victim. Officers ordered Estrada to put his hands up, however, he kept them down by his waist and would not comply with their commands. Officers deployed their taser and took Estrada into custody.

Estrada was booked into the Monterey County Jail for domestic violence and making threats to kill the victim.
