Officers stopped a Dodge Caravan being driven by Gerardo Barron (Age 26) at N. Main Street and Curtis Street. As Officers approached Barron they noticed symptoms of intoxication. Barron suddenly fled on foot, and ran across N. Main Street. After a short  foot chase, Barron attempted to jump a fence into the backyard of a residence on N. Main Street, but was unable to make it over the fence. Barron then turned towards officers and began walking towards them, still ignoring their commands. Officers deployed their taser, and Barron was taken into custody. The vehicle was found to be a stolen vehicle, and Barron was found to be intoxicated.

Barron was booked into the Monterey County Jail for driving under the influence, possession of a stolen vehicle, and resisting arrest.
