SPD officer attempted to make a traffic stop for moving violations on a Dodge Ram pick up traveling at a high rate of speed on N. Main St.The vehicle did not yield and a pursuit ensued for a short time. In the process, a parked vehicle was struck and the Dodge finally came to a stop. The driver, Jefte Orozco (26), fled the vehicle and was tased prior to being taken into custody. Orozco was found to driving under the influence with a suspended license.

The passenger in the vehicle, Fadrick Orozco, (29) was also arrested for public intoxication. Both Jefte and Fadrick Orozco were transported to county jail on the listed charges.
