Officers from the Salinas Police Department Traffic Unit completed their investigation in the traffic collision that took the life of Angel Gonzalez, 14, in the parking lot of Alvarez High School on December 13, 2011. The case is being referred to the Montery County District Attorney's office for review with a request for charges against the driver involved in the collision, Hector Villegas (18). The police department is seeking a misdemeanor charge of 192(c)(2) PC - Vehicluar Manslaughter.
