The adult male driver of a Honda Accord turned left onto S. Sanborn Rd from McGowan St directly into the path of a Chevy Trailblazer, which was Northbound on S. Sanborn Rd. The SUV struck the Honda in the driver side door causing major damage to both vehicles. The driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene and the female passenger was airlifted to San Jose with unspecified injuries. Neither occupants have been identified.

The Chevy Trailblazer was located in a neighborhood nearby and recovered but the suspect's identity has not been established. The case is under investigation.
