Monterey County Gang Task Force Officers were patrolling the 1000 Block of E. Laurel Drive. As they entered the parking lot of an apartment complex, they observed Isidro Puga (Age 31), walking in the area. Upon seeing the GTF Unit, Puga walked behind a parked car and knelt down. Puga was contacted and a search of the area where he had knelt revealed a loaded and unregistered 9mm handgun. Puga is a convicted felon and a gang member. He was booked into the Monterey County Jail for a variety of gun and gang-related charges.
