Release Date/Time: 7/16/2010 2:47 PM Rufino Valerio, 19 yrs., was northbound on N. Sanborn when he he left the roadway and collided with a pole, causing his right front tire to go flat. He continued northbound and struck another pole before passing out due to his intoxication level. When officers arrived they found Valerio's six month old son properly restrained in his car seat with an injury to his forehead. Both were taken to NMC for treatment. Valerio submitted to a chemical test and was later booked at the jail for felony DUI. Valerio's son was admitted to the hospital for contusion to the forehead and was placed into protective custody awaiting pickup by CPS. Release Authorized by: Terry Gerhardstein |
