Officers observed a suspicious vehicle in the area of Alameda Avenue and Grove Street occupied by a male and female. The car pulled over as officers turned to make contact with the two occupants. The male, identified as James Pascho (Age 40), immediately ran. Officers recognized Pascho as a wanted person who had two felony and a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. Officers contacted the female and found that she also had a restraining order against Pascho.
Several officers arrived in the area to help set a perimeter. Pascho jumped several fences, ran though yards, across the cemetery on Romie Lane, through the parking lot of the Monterey County Office of Education, across Blanco Drive, and finally into a building at Fresh Express where he was arrested. Pascho was booked into the Monterey County Jail for the three arrest warrants, violation of a restraining order, and resisting arrest.
