Incident: Gang Member in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Stolen Property, & Violation of Probation

Members of the Monterey County Joint Gang Task Force conducted a routine traffic stop on Rico Garcia, age 21, for minor traffic violations. Garcia was found to be on probation and during a search of his car a firearm was located. A further check revealed that the firearm was reported stolen. Garcia, a known gang member, was booked into Monterey County Jail on the above charges.
