Salinas Police Officers saw Ceasar Juarez (Age 27), driving onto N. Madeira from San Benito Street. Juarez drove onto the US 101 freeway then quickly took the Kern street exit. Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but Juarez accelerated through the stop sign at the end of the off-ramp and drove into the Sherwood Lake Mobile Home Park. Juarez lost control of his vehicle and crashed into mobile home #107, causing minor damage. Juarez stepped out of the car and officers took him into custody without incident. A loaded handgun was found inside the vehicle as well as a meth pipe. Juarez is a felon on probation and a gang member. He was booked into Monterey County Jail for a variety of charges.
