Home Invasion Robbery, Arrest on Drug/Gun Charges
Release Date/Time: 11/17/2012 4:06 PM Two unidentified suspects armed with handguns entered a home in the 300 block of Williams Rd. and robbed 6 occupants of cash and personal property, fleeing before police could arrive. Two subjects who live at the home were not present but arrived just after the robbery. Within minutes of their arrival, independent witnesses began calling to report that two men were loading firearms into a white sedan, which was parked at the home. As officers arrived, the sedan was still on scene and witnesses reported that the two men were walking away. Officers located Miguel Beltran (26) and William Hernandez (19) walking away from the house and both were detained. Inside the sedan, officers could see a rifle in plain view. The car was searched and officers located one pound of marijuana, a .30 caliber M1 carbine rifle, a 9mm machine pistol with 30-round magazine, multiple rounds of ammunition and a military grade flak jacket. Officers determined that the firearms and drugs were being loaded into the car by Beltran and Hernandez in an effort to transport to a different location but were intercepted by police before they could depart.
