Homicide Update

Release Date/Time: 10/8/2012 11:14 AM On 10-05-2012 at approximately 12:52 Hrs., officers responded to a call of a man lying in the roadway after gunshots were heard in the area. Officers arrived to investigate and they located a gunshot victim lying on the street. Paramedics arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital where the victim later died of his injuries. The victim has been identified as William Garcia Sanchez, age 34 of Salinas. Sanchez was shot multiple times by an unknown suspect that may have fled in a vehicle on Archer Ave toward Nacional St. The investigation is continuing.
