Incident: Homicide Update

Location: 900 block of Rider Ave

On Thursday, 11-29-2012 at approximately 14:15 hrs. officers responded to a victim of a shooting in the 900 block of Rider Ave. The victim was located and found to be suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced deceased a short time later after resuscitation efforts failed. The victim has been identified as Eduardo Huazo Hernandez (22).

Although this incident occurred at a time where there were many pedestrians and vehicle traffic in the area, Salinas Police has received minimal information from witnesses.

The investigation is ongoing and Salinas Police is asking for the public’s help. If anyone has information related to this incident, please contact SPD by calling  758-7321 or to remain anonymous 775-4222
