Release Date/Time: 7/14/2010 2:52 PM The Milpitas Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the two male suspects and the vehicle pictured in surveillance videos obtained during this investigation. On October 16, 2009, at 7:21 pm the Milpitas Police Department responded to a fatal shooting that occurred in the parking garage at The Great Mall of the Bay Area, 1100 Great Mall Drive, Milpitas. The victim was found deceased at the scene. The initial investigation developed a possible suspect vehicle description as a large full-size unknown make or model SUV, black in color, with dark tinted windows and chrome wheels. This vehicle may have gunshot damage to the body of the vehicle and one of the windows may be shattered. The SUV was seen leaving the area of the parking garage at the time of the shooting and was occupied by two unidentified males, possibly of Hispanic descent. The mall surveillance video captured the attached picture of the SUV as it was driving on the mall property. During this investigation Milpitas Police Department detectives obtained information the male individuals associated to the SUV may have been in a store at the mall. The store surveillance video was reviewed and the attached pictures of the male suspects were obtained. The identity and exact location of the store is not being disclosed at this time due to the on-going homicide investigation. Information developed during this investigation revealed the males pictured in the store surveillance video may frequent or reside in the Salinas area.
