Incident: Parolee Arrest, Possession of Stolen Property, Resisting Arrest

An anonymous person reported that Efrain Castro (Age 33), was riding his bicycle in the area of Alma Avenue and Garner Avenue and was a wanted parolee. Officers located Castro in the 500 Block of Mae Avenue and told him to stop. Castro ignored the officers commands and continued riding his bicycle. At one point Castro dropped his bicycle and began running. After a short foot chase, he was taken into custody. During a search of his person, officers found a California Department of Corrections badge and a stolen credit card. Castro was booked into the Monterey County Jail for the parole warrant, resisting arrest, and possession of stolen property.
