Release Date/Time: 12/16/2011 9:58 PM An annonymous citizen reported a fight in the mall near the food court. Responding officers were initially unable to locate the combatants who scattered prior to police arrival. A short time later, security spotted several of the involved parties walking the south mall. One of the groups appeared agitated with one individual appearing to be concealing something in his waistband. Officers cornered one of the groups and made contact with three 16 year old males, and one 17 year old male. All are Norteno gang members. One of the 16 year olds was found to have a loaded semi-auto pistol in his waistband. He was arrested without incident. He was later lodged in Juvenile Hall on numerous charges. The other three were questioned and released. A second group was contacted leaving the mall on Madrid St. One of them was arrested on a juvenile warrant. Mall security assisted on all contacts and they were instrumental in reporting, locating and surveilling the movements of the suspects throughout the mall.
