Salinas Police Department's Violence Suppression Unit conducted a vehicle stop for mechanical violations. The driver, a 17 year old male, was unlicensed and had no identification. Upon a search of his vehicle, a loaded .22 caliber revolver was found under the driver's seat. He also possessed numerous prescription drugs that were not prescribed to him. He admitted to possessing the gun because people were trying to kill him. He was lodged in Juvenile Hall.
