Incident: Possession of a loaded Firearm, Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance, Violation of Probation

Location: Parking Lot of 1345 N. Main St (Taco Bell)
Officers were "beat checking" the parking lot of the Taco Bell and noticed a vehicle with the windows fogged up. Officers conducted a vehicle check and contacted the three occupants. Inside the vehicle were David Zamora (Age 20), Greg Warren (Age 30), and another male. While speaking with the subjects, Officers saw a pistol magazine in the back seat next to Warren and a handgun concealed in the back floorboard. The subjects were removed from the car and the weapon and magazine were recovered. The weapon, a 9mm semi-auto handgun, was reported stolen from the CIty of Salinas.
All three subjects went to the police station for questioning. Zamora was determined to be under the influence of methamphetamine and on probation. It was determined that Warren was in possession of the handgun and magazine. Warren was booked into the Monterey County Jail for numerous gun charges as well as violation of probation. Zamora was booked for being under the influence of methamphetamine and violation of probation.
