The Salinas Police Department Narcotics Unit, Violence Suppression Unit and SUBA Unit conducted a prostitution sting targeting prostitutes in the areas of Griffin and Rianda, Kings and Roosevelt and on John Street. Eight arrests were made during the operation for prostitutes making deals of sex for money. Three of the eight were booked into the Monterey County Jail for as a result of not being able to give positive identification.
