The owner of the Aero Gas Station was leaving the business with his bank deposit. As he entered his vehicle the suspect, Demond Harris (40), opened the passenger door and pointed a loaded 38 caliber revolver at him and removed the bank bag containing the money. Harris ran from the scene toward Noice Drive. The victim chased Harris along with two repair workers. Once on Noice,  Harris stopped and pointed the gun at the victim and ordered him to back away. Harris then fired one shot at the victim. Harris again fled on Noice with the victim and witnesses in pursuit. As officers arrived the witnesses directed them to Tapadero Drive where Harris was last seen. Officers located Harris hiding under a parked truck in the driveway of a house in the 200 block of Tapadero Drive. Harris was identified and arrested. Officers recovered the gun and the money bag, containing a large sum of cash. Harris had more cash in his pocket believed to belong to the business.  He had a small amount of crack cocaine in his pocket and Harris was found to be on parole. Harris was booked for robbery, attempted murder, felon in possession of firearm and parole violation..
