Officers were dispatched to a report of a robbery in progress at the video store/jewelry store at 699 E. Market Street. Responding officers were told that a suspect was being detained for police and three other male suspects had fled in a black vehicle. Upon officers arrival, they saw Julio Martinez (Age 22), being detained by a witness and took him into custody.  The investigation showed that the four male suspects entered the store, and started smashing the display cases and grabbing trays of jewelry and videos. 

Martinez had a felony warrant, and was booked into the Monterey County Jail for the warrant, robbery, and gang enhancements.
