Incident: Robbery, Gang member in possession of a loaded & concealed firearm

On February 28, 2010, Soledad PD investigated a robbery wherein Luis Villanueva, 20, of Salinas was identifed as the suspect in the robbery. Soledad Police requested assistance from GTF in locating the suspect. As a result GTF officers located and stopped the suspect, along with another inidividual, at the above location. Villanueva was taken into custody for the robbery and a loaded and concealed firearm was located in vehicle. The passenger , identifed as Juan Castro, 27, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Both men were booked into Monterey County Jail for a variety of charges.
