Incident: Salinas Vocational Services Inc, Volunteering in the CASP Area

On November 28th, 2012 Social Vocational Services, Inc. has agreed to work with the Salinas Police Department in the Hebbron / CASP area to beautify the area for the residents and teach job skills for their employees. The workers will be providing the services on a volunteer basic twice a week. The City of Salinas will not sustain any cost but the workers will receive great training that will assist them in their job building skills.

Social Vocational Services, Inc. is a 501c (3) California not-for-profit corporation founded in 1978 to meet the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities.

It currently serves individuals in a variety of work-oriented, skill building, community access and residential support services in Central California.

SVS is vendored by 14 of California's 21 Regional Centers for the developmentally disabled; is certified by the CA Dept. of Rehabilitation and is accredited by the Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission (CARF) in the area of Supported Employment.
