Incident: Shoplift Robbery / Assault with a Deadly Weapon/ Conspiracy

A female adult, went into Kohl's and shoplifted several hundred dollars worth of merchandise.  As loss prevention was attempting to contact her in the parking lot, a green, Chevrolet pickup driven by an Asian male, pulled up and the female suspect got into the truck.  As a loss prevention officer was copying down the license plate, the driver accelerated and swerved toward him.  He jumped back and the truck was able to strike the loss prevention officer's right hand causing visible injury. The suspects sped away. The truck comes back registered to an address in Salinas. Officers have located witnesses and are reviewing surveillance video of the incident.  BOL placed. Investigation continues.
