Osvaldo Diaz (23) was walking his bike through the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 700 block of Holly Street when he scratched a vehicle belonging to the female victim. The victim confronted Diaz and he became angry. He asked what she was going to do about it and threatened to come back and break her windows. Diaz then struck the victim with his bike. When neighbors intervened Diaz fled on foot without the bike. An officer located Diaz in the area of 1035 Rider Avenue. When the officer tried to contact Diaz, he again fled on foot. The officer chased Diaz on foot through the complex and out onto Alamo Way where another officer intercepted the fleeing Diaz. The second officer pointed his taser at Diaz, but Diaz did not follow directions. Officers had to tackle Diaz to take him into custody. Officers located a methemphatine pipe in Diaz' pocket and he was in possession of items that appear to not belong to him. Diaz was booked for vandalism, battery, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation.
