Release Date/Time: 1/2/2013 10:49 AM Officers responded to a man with a gun call at the Wagon Wheel Motel located in the 1200 block of N. Main St. As officers contacted the reporting party, they observed as an individual later identified as Alejandro Mesa (28) approached one of the patrol vehicles. Mesa had his arms raised and he was holding a large brick over his head. Officers observed as Mesa proceeded to throw the brick at the patrol car causing moderate damage. Mesa then ran away northbound on N. Main St. Officers gave chase and caught up to Mesa a short distance away and he was taken into custody. Mesa would not provide a reason as to why he vandalized the patrol vehicle. Mesa, who was found to be on probation, was transported to county jail and booked on the listed charges.
