Salinas Police Officers saw Roger Storment (36) loading several items from a U-Haul truck into his own vehicle. When officers attempted contact, Storment drove off  leading officers on a vehicle pursuit. The pursuit went through the City, onto the freeway, and back onto City streets. When Storment exited the freeway and turned down Deer Street, he lost control of his vehicle and crashed. Storment immediately fled and a foot pursuit ensued. Storment's girlfriend, Jennifer Timms (35), who was a passenger in the vehicle, remained behind . Officers were able to catch up with Storment in the 800 block of N. Main Street. Storment did not cooperate with the officers' commands and was tased. Storment was then taken into custody. Storment was booked into Monterey County Jail for burglary, resisting arrest, and vehicle pursuit. Timms had some drug paraphernalia in her possession and was also booked into Monterey County Jail.
