SALINAS POLICE BRINGS CHRISTMAS TO LOCAL FAMILIES
Release Date/Time: 12/16/2020 7:15 PM The Salinas Police Department regrettably announced last week that it's first ever family-friendly drive-thru Winter Wonderland event at the Police Service Headquarters had to be postponed. This postponement did not come before we received several generous donations of toys from our event sponsors and giving community members. Salinas Police Department employees will hit the streets next Wednesday, December 23rd, to deliver the donated toys to as many families within the community as possible. If you are in need of Christmas help or cheer, you can register for a visit from the Salinas Police online at: https://forms.gle/iVSxBfVWuWTFPgge8. The registration page will close at 12pm on Tuesday, December 22nd. Toys are for children 12 and under. If there are multiple children in a household, the form must be completed for each. You must be available to receive the delivery on December 23rd. Toys WILL NOT be left on doorsteps or porches. Toy deliveries will be made while supplies last and selection criteria may be primarily dependent on the order of applications received. No one knows how long this pandemic will last, so we ask everyone to continue to wear their masks, practice social distancing, and stay at home when possible. We wish everyone a safe, healthy, and happy holiday! Release Authorized by: Cmdr. Lalo Villegas |
